Fifth Annual Spring Hitting Program 2012 Set

On behalf of the Magdaleno Baseball School allow me to extend our warmest wishes for this Holiday Season.

Our Fall Hitting Program was the biggest in our four-year history and we are looking forward to another record-breaking Spring Hitting Program, which will begin on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012.

We are excited about our new program format, which will increase both the hitting time and the teaching time of each lesson. We are even more excited to announce that this can be accomplished without raising our prices.

Even with the economic downturn of the past few years, the Magdaleno Baseball School, has NEVER raised its hitting lesson prices. Our goal is to teach hitting while at the same time making it economically feasible for the parents in Ventura County to send their young athletes to a professional training environment. We believe that the new Two-Man Hitting Program will do just that.

The program is as follows:

In the past, the two-man hitting lesson was 30 minutes long. After meeting with my staff we agreed that we could not get the hitting program and video program done in 30 minutes, so we increased the lesson to 40 minutes.
Each athlete will go through their tee routine, highest point drills, opposite field drills, etc.
After drills are complete our hitters will then move to front toss drill.
When the front toss drill is complete our hitters will move into live hitting drills (live batting practice)
When the 30 minutes of work is complete each athlete will head into the film room with Coach Magdaleno where there lesson will be broken down. In this film review session Coach Magdaleno will use a form to evaluate each player.
While Coach Magdaleno is in the film room the next lesson will enter the hitting area to work with Coach Magdaleno Jr. and Coach Bauer.
Once the film work is complete Coach Magdaleno and the athlete will place the evaluation in a folder and put in the filing area.
When the player arrives the following week for his or her lesson they will take their folder from the filing area and bring it into the hitting area for their lesson. The evaluation will be used to help make adjustments during their lesson time.
This process will continue throughout the year, so that we have a hitting history of our players, which will help them improve at a more rapid pace.

Each year we run into scheduling connflicts as Little League, Pony League and High School Seasons begin. To address this issue, we extend our hours, reschedule on our make-up day or move your athlete to a time that is better suited for him/her. We pride ourselves on our adaptability.

Based on the number of athletes that come through our program and their individual success, we know that we are on the right track. However, we want to be the very best so, we are always looking for new ways to improve our program. We believe we have found a way to make our players more consistent and implement the program in a professional manner without raising our prices.

The lessons will run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Every Saturday will be reserved for make-ups or a reschedule day. The hitting lessons will run from January to May, which covers the entire spring season.

Fourth Annual FallHitting Program 2011

The MagdalenoBaseballSchool will hold itsfourth annual Fall Hitting Program, which is designed to build hitting mechanics for players who range athletically frombeginners to advanced.

Each family and player will be able to create a day and time slot by choosing a lesson day on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The Monday through Thursday lessons will begin at5:00with the second group beginning at6:00and the finalgroup beginning at7:00.The Sunday lesson will run at10:30 a.m.,11:30 a.m.and12:30 p.m.

For thesecond consecutive year, the Fall Hitting Program will be held at the Magdaleno Baseball School Private Indoor Training Facility.

The program will begin on Tuesday September 6th.Also for the second consecutive year the hitting program will also feature OUR VIDEO ANALYSIS PROGRAM, which is designed to make it easier for our hitters to make on site adjustments. This program has proven to be a successful tool for our hitting students ranging from youth baseball all the to the professional baseball ranks.

For the first time this fall we will havemultiplecoaches on site during the one hour lessons. These lessons will feature Buena Baseball Head Coach and Magdaleno School of Baseball CEO Mark Magdaleno, BuenaHigh School's Director of Operations and AssistantCoach Terry Bauer, BuenaHigh School's Defensive Coordinator and Outfield Coach Matt Villegas, and BuenaHigh School's Assistant Head Coach Mark Magdaleno Jr. For more information on the coaching staff please visitwww.magdalenobaseball.com.

The coach to player ratio will be one coach to every 1.75 athletes, and like our summer program, we believe it is the best fiscal value inVenturaCounty.Not only is this program financially feasible but we believe that our baseball experience, our knowledge of hitting mechanics, our knowledge of the mental approach to hitting and our ability to teach will give your athlete the greatest opportunity to learn thea proven mental and physical approach tohitting.

Once again the program will begin on Tuesday September 6th. Each player will receivefour one hour lessons per month. The program will run September, October and November. The cost for this program will be $110.00 per month. This price is only four players who have been part of our program in the past, i.e., a camp, clinic or hitting program.

Please be advised that due to CIF Southern Section RulesweCAN NOTgive lessons to any student athlete enrolled atBuenaHigh School.

Our Summer Camp Season 2010 was a huge success with over 430 boys and girls attending our program. What a great summer it was for all of us.

With the summer coming to an endit will be the off season for multi-sport athletes and for some, the end of summer means fall baseball is right around the corner.

In any case, the Magdaleno Baseball School will hold its third annual Fall Hitting Program, which is designed to build hitting mechanics for players who range athletically from basic to advanced.

This program is designed for the baseball player only and for the multi sport athlete, because the lessons are run six days a week andthat flexibility allows players to create a time slot that works around educational requirements and their athletic calender.

The program will begin on Friday, September 3, 2010. The hitting program will also feature OUR VIDEO ANALYSIS PROGRAM, which is designed to make it easier for our hitters to make adjustments. Our hitters will be able to watch their mechanics and visualize what the instructor is seeing and explaining to them. It was a huge success in the spring of 2010.

In the past the program was a two-man 30-minute lesson that took place four times a month. The cost of that program was $110.00 per month. We foundthat the half hour lesson didn't allow us enough time to properly use our video analysis program and we were consistently running late.

This fall we will run four-player, one hour lessons that will meet four times a month. These lessons feature Coach Mark Magdaleno (click on the about Mags tab) and one other instructor. The cost of the Fall Hitting Programwill be the same as last year: $110.00 per month.

Just a reminder that this lesson program has filled up and has had a waiting list for the past two years, so please secure a spot as soon as you can. For the next 15 days we are promoting this program to only the families and athletes that have attended our programs in the past. As a courtesy to those who have been part of our program we will not open this hitting program upto the public until August 15th!

The Magdaleno School of Baseball is happy to announce that we will begin our annual Pitching and Catching Clinics and that our Defensive Clinics will continue to develop local players.
Both Clinics will be directed by Coach Steven Hardesty, who is the Director of Operations for the Magdaleno School of Baseball.
On behalf of the Magdaleno School of Baseball, Coach Hardesty is pleased to announce the hiring of our new pitching coach Travis Flowers. Travis is a former standout at Nordhoff High School, who continued on to play at both Ventura College and then at the NAIA level before returning to Ventura and beginning his work with the Magdaleno Baseball School.
The Defenisve Clinics, which run on Sundays have been received with positive feedback from our players and their families, so we will continue to offer that program on a weekly basis.
The Catching and Pitching Clinic will be run on the same day as the Defensive Clinic and both clinics will now be held at Huntsinger Park in Saticoy.

Christmas is already here and the New Year is right around the corner. That means that baseball season is only two months away, in fact, it starts for our Ventura College players on January 11, 2010!
Our Fall Hitting Program went well and now it's time for the Spring Hitting Program to begin. We will be advertising our program in the media within the next week and with baseball season approaching we expect a large turnout. However, we want the players that have been part of our program in the past to have the first opportunity at securing a hitting spot.
This program will be slightly different in the spring. We will not have four-man hitting groups, but rather we will have two-man lessons or individual hitting lessons.
The two-man groups will be the same price, but the individual lesson will be priced slightly higher. The two-man group will be $110.00 per month and the individual lessons will be $120.00 per month. There is a sibling discount as well.
The lessons will run from January to May, which should get our hitters through their youth league schedule. The lessons will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays from January 4 to April 4.
