INDOOR HITTING FACILITY OPENS!

The Magdaleno School of Baseball has leased a facility that will be used for individual or small group lessons. The facility is located at 1572 Goodyear, which is just off of Market Street in Ventura. The indoor facility will also be used for little league practices, but the facility is not open to the public.

The facility will have video taping equipment and will be used to help Ventura County youth baseball and softball players.

The facility has a 55-foot suspended cage, which is 12 feet high and 14 feet wide. The cage can be divided in two and because there are two L-Sreens two hitters can work in the opposite direction at the same time.

The indoor facility allows hitters to work on the tees, to execute front toss, short toss, live batting practice and every player can practice using the Iron Mike Pitching Machine.

The Iron Mike Pitching Machine is secured on a five-inch mound, which helps to simulate the downward plane of a ball thrown from a live pitcher.

Come and take a lesson from Coach Magdaleno and his staff or call and secure a time slot for your youth baseball or softball team to hit.

The facility will only be used only with approval from the Magdaleno School of Baseball.

For further information contact Mark Magdaleno by email at coachmags@magdalenobaseball.com or call 805-701-5775.

Michael and David Bender execute the "Ike to Mike Technique" at a recent hitting session at the indoor facility. Notice the firm backside to firm frontside technique.

Derek "Swany" Swanson was "short to the ball and long through it" on this swing in the indoor facility.

Branden "House" Houseman worked on his lower half execution recently in the indoor facility.

Coach Bauer, Swany and House pick up balls after a round at the indoor facility.

Tee work at the new hitting facility with plenty of room. At least four hitters can work comfortably.

Live batting practice with ease. The cage is suspended from the ceiling, so there are no poles to hit and balls bouncing off any structure. The artificial turf makes it easy on the athletes' legs and joints and helps to make the facility a safer place to hit.

Players young and old can work in the facility on the tees, execute front toss, darts, live batting practice or they can work off the Iron Mike Pitching Machine.
